How we use your personal information
At Leonard Cheshire we take your privacy very seriously. We promise to respect and keep safe any personal data you share with us, or that we receive from partner organisations. Please read our privacy notice which specifically covers how we use supporters’ data for marketing and fundraising purposes.
How it works
This is a monthly subscription service, and you will receive a free text message the day before your gift is due. If you are happy to give, you don't need to do anything and your donation of £5 will be charged to you phone bill or your pay-as-you-go credit.
If you would prefer not to give, reply SKIP within 24 hours of receiving the text and we will not proceed with your donation for that month. You'll receive a message confirming that your payment will not be taken. You’ll be charged one standard rate text message.
We will only take your gift 24 hours after we know that your phone has received our message so do not worry if your phone does not have signal or is switched off when we send the first text.
The impact your donation makes
We want to share with you the impact that your regular donation makes so we will send you links to images and other content that you can view on an internet-enabled phone. We will not charge you for this but, as with any mobile browsing you may incur charges from your network provider.
Some important details
Leonard Cheshire will receive 95% of each monthly donation. All donations will go towards supporting disabled people to live, learn and earn as independently as they choose, whatever their ability. By using this service, you are agreeing to us contacting you by phone and SMS to tell you more about our work and how you can support it. If you wish to opt-out or to discuss your mobile payment you can do so by contacting customer care on 0300 303 0074 or email@example.com.
We hope that you won't cancel your gift. However, if you want to end your gifts permanently, you can reply and text STOP to unsubscribe. You’ll be charged one standard rate text message.
In the event that any of our text messages cannot be delivered to you, your mobile network will try to redeliver the message for the next 14 days. If still unsuccessful we will stop trying for that month and try again next month as normal.
