Where we work
We work across the UK delivering care services and programmes. We have volunteering opportunities and events you can get involved in too. We also deliver programmes internationally around work, education and youth advocacy.
Leonard Cheshire in Scotland provides a range of supported living and community-based services. We inform policy, lobby government and campaign on issues relevant to disabled people living in our communities, whom we empower to live, learn and work as independently as they choose.
Leonard Cheshire in Northern Ireland provides a range of supported living and community based services. It works in partnership with a range of agencies to deliver services and inform policy, campaigning on issues relevant to disabled people living in Northern Ireland.
In Wales, we support individuals to live, learn and work as independently as they choose, whatever their ability. Led by people with experience of disability, we are at the heart of local life — opening doors to opportunity, choice and support in communities around the globe.
More than one billion disabled people, 15% of the world’s population, make up one of the most disadvantaged and marginalised groups within society.
They are routinely denied their most basic human rights — cut off from education, employment and healthcare. Many live in extreme poverty.
