Opportunities for 16-35 year olds

Can Do is a skills development programme for individuals aged 16-35 with a disability or long term health condition.

Getting involved with Can Do

All projects focus on skill development and confidence building through fun and engaging activities designed around the interests of participants.

If a 16 hour Building Communities project is attended and completed, you can get a City & Guilds certificate or an SQA Award.

We are now offering both community based sessions and virtual sessions. All community sessions will ensure the safety of everyone involved, taking extra precautions with COVID safety arrangements.

Activity box

Earlier this year as the pandemic stopped our social activities, we were forced to stop running all our community projects. As a response to this, we moved to delivering projects virtually and had a summer full of fun skill developments activities.

Some people weren’t able to access these because they didn’t have access to a mobile, tablet or PC – and some people wanted to get away from spending time looking at a screen!

Thinking about how we could support people away from a virtual setting, we designed the first Can Do activity box – 14 days of fun activities to learn new skills and build confidence while exploring the theme of ‘identity’!

We are currently running a small trial of boxes – to register your interest please email CanDo@leonardcheshire.org
