The government has proposed changes to workplace support for people with long-term conditions in the ‘Health is everyone’s business consultation’.
We're calling for mandatory reporting on how many disabled people are employed by large companies so that workplaces are fully inclusive and fair.
Whether it is an employer offering flexible working, or the government expanding ‘Access to Work’ funding, small adjustments can make a big difference in enabling disabled people to progress in their careers.
Improved awareness of the rights that disabled people have in the workplace – and the ability to assert these rights with confidence – is vital.
