Our fully inclusive dance competition is back for its second year!

Strictly Cymru is the first event of its kind in Wales. It's pan disability and aims to improve health, wellbeing and access to sport for disabled people across Wales.

Come and watch our 12 finalists compete dance for the Grand Final Glitter Ball prize on 11 May.

The event will also include performances from Gary Lyness and Paula Moulton — Para Dance Sport Team GB, UK Champions and Britain’s Got Talent Semi Finalists

Regional heats

Regional heat one

The winner for the first heat in the inclusive category was Elinor Edwards who danced with Thea Boyle. Elinor will be paired with a professional dancer in the final.

For the wheelchair category the winners were: 

  • Lauren O’Neill and Eddie Hickman from Dolywern, who are repeat finalists from last year and danced together once again
  • Hayley Williams and Linda Knox, who were a new pairing although Hayley took part last year as a solo act 
  • Michael Williams and Andrew Docherty, a new pairing who were new to the competition

Regional heat two

The winners for the inclusive category the winners were:

  • Rhodri Thompson, dancing solo
  • Sarah Thornton, William Young, James Edwards and Sion Huw Jones, dancing as a group.

For the wheelchair category the winners were:

  • Owen Rowlands and Kayleigh Haynes, a new pairing making their debut in the competition.
