Many people become disabled later in life due to accident, stroke, cancer or conditions like multiple sclerosis or motor neurone disease. These life-changing moments can turn everything upside down.

Your marathon fundraising helps people rebuild their independence, stay connected to their communities and live the life they choose. By running for us, you’re helping ensure disabled people have the support they need to live with dignity, choice and control.

We ask all our runners to commit to raising a minimum of £2000 (with a registration fee of £100) to support disabled people to live as independently as possible, whatever their ability.

What Happens Next?

WhatsApp Communications

We use WhatsApp to help build a supportive community for our runners and to keep you updated with everything you need to know about the event.

You’ll only receive event-related updates and support messages—no marketing communications will be sent via WhatsApp.

Over the years we’ve received expressed interest for a dedicated Team Leonard Cheshire WhatsApp group. As such, this will be formed for 2027, and you will receive an invitation once your place has been confirmed, giving you the option to join and connect with others taking part.

Please note your contact details will be visible to other members, if you chose to join the WhatsApp community group.

You will have the option to opt of WhatsApp communications at any time by emailing events@leonardchehsire.org

Keeping in Touch
