Who we support

We support disabled adults to live their lives as they choose.

We know that people’s conditions are just one part of their lives, affecting people in different ways. People looking for assistance might find it useful to know that we support people with a range of conditions including:

  • People who have mobility impairments – such as cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis (MS) and the effects of a stroke
  • People who have other physical disabilities –  including multiple system atrophy (MSA)
  • People who have acquired brain injuries (ABI)
  • People who have learning disabilities

The staff here are great and have your interest at heart, and if you need anything they will come to your aid. There are lots of different activities and groups to join and I have joined a few. My favourite group is the current affairs group which is a great space to speak about a current topic which I have a deep interest in.

What support we provide

Every person living here has a person-centred care plan (PCP), showing how they wish to be supported and what is important to them as an individual.

We assist people with daily living tasks when required: this can include all forms of personal care, speech and language support, assistive technology support, as well as assistance at mealtimes and help with medication.

We support people to access the local community. We help people to do the things they like to do.

Greenacres has a dedicated team of specialist nurses, support workers, and physiotherapists. There are staff on site 24 hours. The amount of support an individual gets will depend on the hours and funding they have in their care package.

We work collaboratively with other organisations including: Headway, Parkinson’s support teams, nutritionists, dieticians and NHS community support services.

Our team try to enable our residents to do as much as they can, and we always aim to seek solutions for our people to thrive. Our experienced team always find ways to break down barriers so that our residents live rich and fulfilled lives.
