We place people at the heart and soul of our charity. There are many different types of people who make up our charity.
There are the people who use our services, and those who join our campaigns for the rights of disabled people. We have lots of people who volunteer their time. We partner with people in the UK and internationally.
We also rely on the people who take part in events for us or generously make donations, raising valuable funds.
Join the people who make our charity what it is today:
And the people who make all of that possible, our dedicated staff.
We have over 7,500 people working tirelessly across our organisation, and are proud to have Her Majesty The Queen as our patron. Ensuring the smooth running of hundreds of care homes, support services, campaigns alongside countless other responsibilities are:
- Our board of trustees — legally responsible for the general control and management of the administration of the charity.
- Our vice presidents — former trustees or long-standing supporters of the charity who continue to support our work.
- Our management board — led by acting chief executive Rosemarie Pardington, responsible for the day to day running of our charity.
