Since January 2017 we have been working with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, to run an innovative programme called OrchLab in partnership with Drake Music — an organisation working in disability, music-making and technology.
Drake Music will be delivering assistive technology music workshops with six of our services in London and the South East, over the next three years (2017-2019).
They will also create new musical instruments for use by disabled people, and the project will work towards creating an online system so that more services can access, share and make music together.
This means a legacy will be left even after the project finishes, so services and residents can continue to benefit.
This really exciting opportunity will be led by the digital inclusion team. The project will also create an online platform that other services who are not directly involved in the project will be able to access.
