Scouts bring festive cheer to Merseyside care home

23 December 2016

9th Fromby Scouts with a resident from FreshfieldsScouts brought festive cheer to residents and staff at a Merseyside care home with a Christmas carol service.

The 9th Formby Scouts sang carols to entertain residents and staff at the Freshfields care home, run by the charity Leonard Cheshire Disability, on Tuesday 13 December 2016.

Scouts groups nationwide will be visiting disabled residents at Leonard Cheshire Disability’s care services in the lead up to Christmas to participate in carol singing and help out.

The series of events mark the ‘A Million Hands’ partnership between The Scouts Association and six charities, including Leonard Cheshire Disability.

The partnership aims to support half a million young people in scouting to take meaningful social action on issues chosen by them and build lasting ties between groups in local communities.
