Response to proposed changes to Personal Independence Payments (PIP)

27 February 2017

In response to proposed changes to Personal Independence Payments (PIP), Neil Heslop, chief executive of Leonard Cheshire Disability, said:

'We are deeply concerned that after committing to no further cuts to financial support for disabled people, the government has announced new rules which might prevent some disabled people from getting Personal Independence Payment (PIP).

'Without PIP support some disabled people will struggle and some will be forced to give up their jobs.

'The government must stick to their commitment to make no further changes to disability benefits.'
