Charity operations director faces flames in centenary challenge

28 February 2017

Leonard Cheshire Disability’s Scottish director of operations Stuart Robertson is taking on a daredevil firewalk this week to raise funds for the charity.

Stuart will be walking barefoot across hot coals on London’s South Bank as the charity celebrates the centenary of its founder, war hero and global humanitarian Leonard Cheshire’s birth.

Stuart said:

‘I am really excited to be taking part in the firewalk, to raise much-needed funds for Leonard Cheshire.

‘It is also vital to raise more awareness of the excellent work we do in supporting disabled people across the country.’

Before braving the flames on the banks of the River Thames, Stuart will attend a training session to get motivated and feel prepared.

Money from fundraising means people can enjoy activities, innovative equipment and therapies which would not be supplied by social care.

You can support Stuart on his Just Giving page.
