DASH (Disabled Action Self-Help) is an activity and skills group in Blackwater, on the border between Surrey, Berkshire and Hampshire. It supports disabled people in the area with a range of activities, including outings in its minibuses.

Tanya's cousin is a regular visitor at the centre. After hearing vandals had slashed the tyres of one of DASH's minibuses just before they were going out for their Christmas meal, Tanya and Sean decided to raise money for the centre.

Best known in the UK for his roles in Grange Hill and EastEnders, Sean is now appearing as Robin Hood in hit USA series Once Upon a Time.

Fans and friends generously donated to the appeal through an online fundraising page. Tanya also organised a surprise birthday party for Sean, asking guests to donate to DASH instead of giving presents.

They had soon raised over £4,000 for the service!

Sean tweeted immediately after his visit today:

Service manager Sauce Jennings said the money will go towards improving security at the centre.

We'd like to thank Sean, Tanya, and everyone who donated for their kindness.
