Kuta (pictured above) is a nine-year-old girl from Sierra Leone. She has cerebral palsy and has difficulty walking. She rarely attended school as she could only get there if her father carried her on his back. She didn’t have many friends, and this left her feeling isolated and lonely.
Life for Kuta has been transformed now that our inclusive education project is being implemented in her school. She has a wheelchair and her classmates all want to help push her to school. She regularly goes to our child-to-child club where she has made lots of new friends. Her father is also part of the project’s parents group which has really helped him and the rest of the family to understand how they can better support Kuta.
Kuta says her life has changed for the better and she now feels just like any other child.
