Hydon Hill staff and volunteers go 'above and beyond' — fundraising skydive raises over £4,000

30 September 2016

Staff and volunteers at Hydon Hill care home have literally gone 'above and beyond' to support the service. They recently completed a skydive, raising over £4,000 towards the care home's outdoor refurbishment project.

Activities coordinator Jonathan Lelacheur was joined by six others: Artis (care team leader), Anna (care assistant), Karoline (agency chef/volunteer), and Hydon Hill volunteers Rory, Craig and Leah.

‘We jumped from 13,000ft above Salisbury Plain. It was absolutely amazing! We reached in excess of 125mph in free fall and there were fantastic views.

‘We thank all those who sponsored us and I am immensely proud of everyone who took to the skies with me. It’s something that’ll stay with us for the rest of our lives.’ — Jonathan

The money raised went towards Hydon Hill's new sensory community scenic garden.
