Congratulations to our patron, Her Majesty the Queen, on becoming Britain's longest-reigning monarch

At this historic milestone, we would like to thank Her Majesty the Queen for her dedication to Leonard Cheshire Disability since becoming our patron in 1980. Her visits to our homes both in the UK and overseas have touched the lives of many disabled people.
We were delighted that she was able to meet so many of them, as well as staff and volunteers, last year at St. James’s Palace. She continues to take such a warm and personal interest in our charity that we are delighted that she is our patron.
Every year many disabled people take a special holiday at Park House Hotel in Sandringham which was given to us by Her Majesty the Queen. As far as we know, it is the only truly accessible country house hotel where disabled people can holiday in real style with their families. And it is a typically generous and thoughtful gift.
On this very special day we would like to give her all our best wishes, love and thanks for all that she does for others. Her Majesty’s tireless and inspirational work with good causes has been influential in shaping our country’s great tradition and pride in supporting charities.
