Thornhill Close is a home which provides a range of services for women with learning disabilities.
Thornhill Close is a bungalow situated in a quiet cul-de-sac on Castle Park, a very pleasant residential area on the outskirts of Dorchester, the county town of Dorset. Dorchester is a small, accessible town close to the seaside town of Weymouth; the site of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic sailing events. It is also close to the Jurassic Coast, which is a world heritage site. The nearby countryside is picturesque and Dorchester is within easy driving distance of Wiltshire, Hampshire and Cornwall.
The residents ensure their home has a lively atmosphere. At their request, we offer a wide range of daily activities from gardening and horse riding to carriage driving, pub lunches and attending evening social groups.
There are also various events held in the home such as parties/discos, music nights and film afternoons.
Our fully-trained staff are committed to ensuring that everybody is happy in their home.
We pride ourselves in putting our residents first, supporting everybody to be both independent and to participate in the local and home communities as they wish.
