The home offers a range of activities for residents, including arts and crafts and games, as well as trips to local shops and restaurants.

You’ll have the chance to be social, get creative or enjoy exercise — you choose. We encourage people to take part but there’s no pressure.

Group activities aren’t for everyone and you might just want to do things on your own. If so, we can help. If you need support, one option is to find a volunteer to come along with you.

Ros's story

Ros holding the photo of her when she first started at Stonecroft HouseRos Falla is head cook at Stonecroft. She's worked at the home for an amazing 42 years.

‘I started as a domestic help and then spent a short spell as a support worker, but most of the time I've worked in the kitchen.’

In the hallway at Stonecroft there's a black and white photo of Ros at Stonecroft when she was 17.

‘That was taken when I first started. I can still tell you the names of all the residents in the photo.’

However, Ros’s ties with the home go back even further.

‘My grandmother worked here years and years ago, when Stonecroft was a private house. She was a cook too!’
