Coronavirus (COVID-19) - advice about visiting our services

We know this is a worrying time for everyone.

The safety and wellbeing of people we support, our staff and volunteers, is of utmost importance to us as always.

From an early stage we have been taking steps at increased infection control at services. You’ll appreciate the national situation is changing rapidly.

Our senior clinical staff, together with senior managers from key frontline teams, are closely monitoring the situation daily. We continue to follow official government guidance, putting in place new measures as quickly as possible.

Can I continue to visit?

From Monday 23 March, access to our residential services will be limited to staff and other essential visitors. To date we have not implemented this measure but there is now no other responsible option. This has been a last resort because of the undeniable impact this will have on residents and their families. We are writing to relatives to let them know and explain how they can make arrangements to visit ahead of this.

We will be working with customers and relatives to look at the use of technology to enable regular contact such as phone calls, Skype, Facetime etc.

We will continue to keep you updated. Thank you for your ongoing support and understanding, as we all work together to meet current challenges.
