Work and employment
In many developing countries, more than 80% of people with disabilities are out of work. We change attitudes to increase their access to meaningful and quality employment.
What we do
Our economic inclusion projects equip people with disabilities with the skills and confidence they need to enter the workplace or develop their own businesses. We especially focus on those who are most marginalised, particularly women.
We also work in partnership with governments and international bodies to develop inclusive work schemes and support businesses to become proudly and progressively disability confident.
We look at the wider picture, working alongside people with disabilities to campaign for change and using our in-depth research to demonstrate how infrastructure, discrimination and many other factors can affect employment prospects for them.
