Gift in will: new kitchens for Cheshire House Inverness

A generous gift in a will to Cheshire House in Inverness has radically enhanced the lives of the disabled people who live there.

The residents themselves helped to decide what improvements they felt were needed. They wanted to change the communal areas and so bought pictures, new furniture and carpets to make the house more welcoming to friends and family.

Sheila Macdonald, one of the people who uses the services at Cheshire House, told us, ‘I’m able to reach everything in my kitchen these days, and don’t need to ask for help anymore.’
