Donate in memory
‘My father had fond memories of working with Leonard Cheshire and greatly admired his work.
‘So when my father passed away, making a gift to Leonard Cheshire Disability was an ideal way to honour his memory, whilst also helping people with disabilities.’
A donation in memory of a friend or relative is a very special way to remember their life, while also helping us to continue our work enabling people with disabilities to live with dignity, choice and greater independence.
There are several ways you can donate in memory of a loved one.
Setting up an online tribute fund creates a special place to remember your loved one. It’s the perfect way for you to commemorate and celebrate their life. Family and friends can show their support in making donations and leaving a message.
- Visit our Shared Memories website to set up a new tribute fund for a loved one.
- Or search for an existing tribute fund.
Collecting donations at a funeral or memorial service, perhaps instead of flowers, can be a great way to celebrate the life of your loved one with friends and family.
We can provide special collection envelopes for you to give to family and friends at the service. Each envelope has information about us, an option to donate by card or cheque and the opportunity to Gift Aid your donation if you're a UK tax payer.
When returning the envelopes to us, please include a short covering letter with your name and address and the details of the person you are remembering. If you would like us to write and thank the family or next-of-kin we will be very happy to do so — please just ask.
Make a donation online
