People who use our services may also be able to help to run some of the ‘Understand the Need’ and ‘Plan Action’ activities, and can help you gain a better understanding of disability through sharing the point of view of a disabled person.

Become a volunteer

To become a Leonard Cheshire Disability volunteer (over 16), call the volunteer support team on 020 3242 0296 or email our volunteering team. You can also fill in the online form.

If you are 16–18 you'll require parental consent and will be fully supervised at the services. If you're over 18 you will not need parental consent but will need to undertake a DBS check. All volunteers will need to provide references and will receive training.
