Parallel London 2017

A big thank you to everyone that took part in Parallel London this year at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, it was a truly fantastic and inspirational day!

The event is all about inclusion and is open to both children and adults who are disabled, impaired and even those who do not have a disability.

As an inclusive event, the event is about everyone taking part at the same time and not racing against a clock. Parallel believe it is important for everyone to cross the finish line in a spirit of togetherness.

If you would like to register for next year then please contact the events team.

What our participants thought

Participants from Randall Close

Marvin regularly visits Randall Close, Battersea, and has said Parallel gives disabled people the opportunity to have fun and enjoy themselves. He thought the atmosphere was electric and there was a feeling of togetherness.

Nick and Adam from Gloucestershire House have told us it was lovely to be part of a fully inclusive event, to see so many people, especially children with a variety of disabilities.

They thought it was lots of fun and very exciting.

Sponsorship amounts:

  • Only £100 per person, we have a fundraising guide and are always on hand if you need tips or ideas.
  • With own place participants there is no fundraising target but any sponsorship you do raise is vital in helping disabled people live the lives they choose both in the UK and overseas.
