Your volunteering opportunities
We have a number of lovely residents who love to make friends, have a chat and eat biscuits. They have a wide range of interest from sports to films to theatre.
If you would like to come along and have some fun and get to meet some interesting people they you are just what we need. We all have a story to tell and they would love the opportunity to tell theirs and hear yours.
We have some lovely residents that all have a story to tell and friends to make. What ever your interest many be, sport, music, chess, theatre, you name it. If you have a few hours to spare either weekly/fortnightly/monthly to join us.
The suggested commitment is 1 to 2 hrs per week, however, wherever possible, volunteers are able to give their time flexibly but regular commitment is appreciated.
We are looking for volunteers who would like to form rewarding friendships and who can spare an hour or two each week to come in and have a chat on a one to one basis, participate in a crossword or game with Residents at our friendly home.
This is a very flexible role and we would welcome applications from anyone who has some time to spare on a weekly, fortnightly, or monthly basis.
Do you have green fingers with a little time to spare? Our friendly home is lucky enough to have a lovely garden for residents to enjoy, but it requires regular maintenance to keep it looking beautiful.
This is a flexible role where the time commitment will depend on appointment, activity or outing. Some journeys will be local to our area, these can be outings, or appointments but others may be further a field. All journeys will be agreed in advance with the volunteer driver.
We are looking for friendly volunteers to drive our residents on day trips, as well as to hospital appointments. Our residents enjoy outings local to us, such as National Trust properties, shopping, London museums as well as trips to the seaside.

Russian speaker needed!! Hopefully I've got the above correct!! Let me know. We have a lovely resident who is a native Russian speaker but now gets little chance to talk in his native tongue.
Evening, either weekly, fortnightly or monthly by agreement
Could you help us by organising an event in the evening for our residents. Could be Bingo, Game Night, Table Tennis, it would be up to you and the residents to decide.
Evening - Two/Three hours a month
Volunteer Film Club Organiser Required Could you help to organise and run our film club? We need someone to work with our lovely residents to come up with a varied programme of films. They are a diverse lot who enjoy all kinds of films.
1 - 2 hours a week. Currently on Monday Mornings however we can be flexible and even run another club.
Do you love to bake? Then come and join are award winning bakers. Winners of the Leonard Cheshire Christmas Bake off!! We have a very successful little baking club running on Monday mornings and really need some extra help.
1 to 2 hours a week or fortnight but more if you wish
Come and play scrabble with two of our residents who love to play scrabble and are in need of new opponents who are up to the challenge. 1 - 2 hours a fortnight or monthly is all we need but if you would like to play more that's fine with us.
Suggested commitment is 2/3 hours weekly, however, volunteers are able to give their time flexibly depending on the volunteering opportunity, but a regular commitment is appreciated.
To provide additional support to people who use our services on a 1-1 or group basis, independently or with other staff/volunteers dependent on activity.
