Virtual Volunteer Session Lead


Summary

We are currently looking for a a lead volunteer to help with the running and implementation of our virtual volunteering sessions.

Role description

Purpose of the Role:

  • To support the delivery of virtual sessions
  • To lead and support other volunteers during the virtual sessions
  • To facilitate the communication between Leonard Cheshire teams, volunteers and participants involved in the session

Key Activities :

  • To make sure that at each session there are at least 3 members of staff/volunteers
  • Work with admin volunteers to ensure each session has a register ready before delivery.
  • Manage zoom lobby and admitting of participant with the support of virtual volunteer assistants
  • To meet and greet volunteers and participants on sessions
  • To support volunteers during induction and arrange meetings with other virtual volunteer assistants
  • Facilitate a smooth running of the session
  • Help send the register with attendance back to the admin volunteers
  • Work with staff and groups to complete any missing participant details in the register
  • At the end of the session, lead a brief feedback conversation with the delivery partner and the volunteers, sending any note, comments, points for improvement to the CVC and the volunteering projects officer

For each virtual session the expected time commitment is as follow:

  • Log in 10 minutes before the session to make sure that the zoom meetings are set up
  • Attend the whole 1hour session
  • Collate feedback with the support of the facilitator and virtual volunteer assistants at the end of a session.

  • Strong IT skills, with MS office and knowledge of Dynamics and Zoom as a plus
  • Friendly and approachable

  • Willingness to undertake all relevant training

  • Completion of Leonard Cheshire training and induction
