Virtual Volunteer Session Assistant


We are currently looking for a volunteer to support one of our Community Volunteer Coordinators and Lead Virtual Volunteers in the delivery of our virtual sessions.



Time commitment

  • 1h 30 minutes for 1 to 2 sessions a week.

    For each virtual session the expected time commitment is as follow:

  • Log in about 10 minutes before the session to make sure that the zoom meetings are set up
  • Attend the whole 1hour session
  • Stay logged in for about 10 more minutes with the lead volunteer and the facilitator to gather thoughts and comments on the session

Role description

Purpose of Role:

  • To support the CVC and Lead Virtual Volunteer in the delivery of the virtual sessions
  • To lead other volunteers collaborating to the virtual sessions
  • Facilitate communication between CVC, participants, the virtual volunteer admins, and other volunteers

Key Activities:

  • To meet and greet volunteers on sessions
  • Supporting Inductions
  • Arranging volunteering meetings
  • Support the admin volunteers with their tasks
  • Check chat box, mute/unmute participants
  • Take attendance registers

Facilitate a smooth running of the session
