Virtual Tour Guide


We are looking for a number of virtual tour guides to help inform, entertain, educate and support disabled people in the local area.

This is a great role for an individual who has a passion for natural scenery, events and outdoor activities.


Edinburgh & Fife

Time commitment

Flexible, depending on time scale set by such activities or events.

A minimum of 3 months.

Role description

To inform, entertain, educate, and support disabled and vulnerable people in our communities and Leonard Cheshire care homes in Edinburgh and Fife, by documenting landmarks, leisure centres, sports, wildlife and conservation through video recordings and photographs.

Key activities:

To agree with the volunteer coordinator suitable locations and events to record

To be willing to support disabled and vulnerable people enjoy their environment by bringing outdoor activities into their space.

To take photos and make video recordings

To describe and explain activities

To edit video recordings, including adding voiceover and captions

To ensure such activities are carried out following safeguarding policies set out by LC

Requirements & Key Skills


Two references

PVG check

You will need to have access to a good internet connection and to suitable equipment for capturing photos and video and to a suitable device/software for editing video. Loans of some equipment may be possible

Key Skills:

Good communicator

Confident IT & media skills, including capturing and editing video

Willing to travel within required locations.
