Virtual Befriender with an interest in History


Leonard Cheshire is looking for a virtual befriender to share an interest in WWII and military history with a resident at a care home in Liverpool. The resident is a keen amateur historian who regularly listens to history audiobooks.



Time commitment

1 hour a week – flexibly arranged with the service.

Role description

We are looking for an individual to connect with resident with a keen interest in history. As this is virtual, the possibilities are endless. All it takes is a small-time commitment. How long and when is entirely up to you. This is a very flexible role.

If you can spare a little time to chat with a resident, please do get in touch.

All we ask, is that you are a:

  • Reliable timekeeper
  • Good communicator
  • Enthusiastic and personable

No prior experience working with disabled people required
