Group Activities Volunteer (#017)


This is a very rewarding role for the right person who would like to support four disabled men to enjoy indoor pass-times, activities, games and other hobbies within the comfort of their shared, supported living house in Stranraer.



Time commitment

Days and times of volunteering visits are discussed and agreed with the volunteer to suit all parties. This role will be best managed with early evening visits, i.e. 6pm for an hour or two.

Role description

The volunteer will come along to our supported living house in Stranraer which is home to four men with learning and physical disabilities and spend time with them in the house in the early evening doing pass-times, cards, dominoes, arts and crafts, play music etc.

The volunteer may suggest other options which he/she may have particular skills or interests in.

Full support is given from on-duty staff and no care tasks are involved.
