The Great North Run takes place within Newcastle, Gateshead and South Shields and is the world's biggest and best-loved half marathon.

If you are successful in your place there is a registration of £60 (payable upon confirmation) with a minimum fundraising target of £275.

Each year there's over 57,000 runners, it is televised by the BBC and the atmosphere is electric! The event takes runners from Newcastle, over the iconic Tyne Bridge into South Shields.

By running for us, you are supporting everyone to live, learn and work as independently as they choose, whatever their ability.

One in five of us will become disabled at some point in our lives. Many will become disabled after an accident, or from a stroke, cancer or developing conditions like multiple sclerosis or motor neurone disease. These life-changing circumstances can stop people in their tracks. Your Great North Run fundraising will make sure they can live a full life again, and achieve their dreams.
